The White Sox optioned Ramos to Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday. The club will announce a corresponding roster move prior to Friday's game in Milwaukee. Ramos had been 0-for-14 with five strikeouts in five games since returning from a quadriceps injury. The 22-year-old will head back to Charlotte for some more seasoning, and the White Sox will probably now give the bulk of the playing time at third base to Danny Mendick.... See More ... See Less

White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Not in Monday's lineup
Ramos is not in the lineup for Monday's game versus the Blue Jays. Ramos returned from the injured list over the weekend but went 0-for-7 with four strikeouts at the plate. He'll get a day off Monday to regroup, with Danny Mendick filling in at third base.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Looks out of rhythm
Ramos went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts Sunday against the Orioles. Ramos returned from the injured list Saturday and has started at third base in both of Chicago's games since. He's gone a combined 0-for-7 with four strikeouts that span, a surprising uptick after he struck out only three times across his first 34 big-league plate appearances. Ramos looks to have a clear grip on the job at third base, so he should have the opportunity to regain his rhythm at the dish.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Back in starting lineup Saturday
Ramos is starting at third base and batting sixth against the Orioles on Saturday. Ramos will get right back into the action after being reinstated from the 10-day injured list Saturday. The 22-year-old infielder was battling a left quadriceps strain, and he played in a couple rehab games with Triple-A Charlotte, going 2-for-4 with one run and two walks. Before landing on the IL, Ramos went 9-for-32 from the plate with four runs and two RBI.... See More ... See Less -

Ramos (quad) is expected to return from the injured list during the White Sox's weekend series against the Orioles, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports. White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Beginning assignment Tuesday
Ramos (quad) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Ramos was placed on the injured list Friday (retroactive to Wednesday) with a strained left quad, and the fact he is already beginning an assignment in Charlotte means he will almost certainly be activated when eligible Saturday. The 22-year-old infielder was 9-for-32 with two RBI through his first 10 games in the majors before getting hurt.... See More ... See Less -

Manager Pedro Grifol said Saturday that Ramos (quad) will likely being a rehab assignment at Triple-A Charlotte within the next few days, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Ramos has been sidelined since making an early exit from Tuesday's game against Washington due to left quadricep tightness, and he officially landed on the injured list Friday. The 22-year-old was slashing .281/.294/.344 across his first 10 MLB games before getting injured, and Grifol's comments suggest Ramos may be able to return to the lineup when eligible next Saturday.... White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Placed on injured list
Ramos was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday by the White Sox due to a left quadriceps strain. Ramos exited the first game of the White Sox's Tuesday doubleheader due to tightness in his quadricep, and he will now be out for at least another eight days due to the injury. The rookie infielder is slashing .281/.294/.344 through his first 10 big-league games.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Hits in three straight

White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Sent to Double-A
The White Sox optioned Ramos to Double-A Birmingham on Monday. He'll head back to Birmingham to begin the 2024 campaign after he slashed .271/.369/.457 with 14 home runs across 339 plate appearances with the affiliate in 2023.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Returns from IL
Double-A Birmingham reinstated Ramos (groin) from its 7-day injured list Tuesday. The 21-year-old made his 2023 debut for Birmingham in Tuesday's 10-6 win over Mississippi, starting at third base and going 0-for-4 with a walk and a run scored. After battling a groin injury coming out of spring training, Ramos was cleared to head out on a rehab assignment last week with Single-A Kannapolis and went 2-for-16 with a home run.... See More ... The appearance with the Single-A club marked the season debut for Ramos, who has resided on Double-A Birmingham's 7-day injured list since early April due to a groin issue. Ramos will likely play a handful of games with Augusta before reporting to Birmingham, where he finished the 2022 campaign. Between stops at Birmingham and High-A Winston-Salem last season, the 21-year-old slashed .266/.338/.455 with 22 home runs across 518 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less -

Scott Merkin@scottmerkin8M ago"Hoo-rah shit" ranks as one of the greatest quotes I've heard in 22 years covering the White Sox. Tommy Pham is an infinitely interesting guy to watch play and talk with, just in the short time he's been with the team, and an intense competitor.
-
Scott Merkin@scottmerkin1H agoPham is also a guy I see talking with players after games about what transpired, younger players picking his brain. He told me he did the same with Matt Holliday when he was a younger player, so it's good to see the same with the White Sox. A great plus for a young team.
